I'm having an early night
Yeah right, woke up well late today but that's because I went on a random one last night. Got a call at 1am to go for a drive and although my friend wanted to go West End I opted for Dartford to see who was about. Glad I didn't waste my time going out as there was no one about and I would say at the most there must have been fifty people that came out. Anyway we picked up some friends and headed home. Woke up today and watched a couple of movies and spoke on the phone for a few hours. Everyone seems poised haha but still unsure of where to meet up etc. Was supposed to go bowling with my children today but got a call to say that they were in the middle of a game, that was a nice thing to do. Anyway going to start getting on it soon and I mean both ready and drinking. What ever you are doing I hope you have a good one and remember don't accept sweets from strangers !!

The Big One
As the opening paragraph states 'Come and join us here at The Drayman'. If you are like a few of my friends who are still undecided we will be here getting on it and seeing in the New Year. I have no idea why people leave their plans so late as I would hate to be indoors this year as I have made loads of new friends and practically everyone of them seems to be getting on it. Bless my mum as she will be looking after my children tomorrow night while both myself and their mother are out.
Not in the same place though but she is also going local to another bar, this is also themed but only with people wearing hats hmmm. She is hyped though and this is the first opportunity both of us have had to get out as we were normally in with the children when we were together. Feeling the beat already, getting loads of calls tonight from people telling me to come out, I so wish I was out both last night and tonight but been too on it over the last fortnight anyway and spent loads. Christmas Eve as an example and I hope I don't get into any random ideas/adventures tomorrow !!
Stay tuned
Not much time left until the end of the year now, I was going to try and compile a list of my favourite tunes for the year but instead I have uploaded a couple to listen to so that this blog is more full of life. Still no luck in my quest for a Bow Tie, thought I would give it one last try today but was unsuccessful in finding one. I must be looking in all the wrong places but a word of advice to anyone thinking of undertaking a similar quest. Avoid Bluewater and Bexleyheath as they are Bow Tie No Fly Zones. Anyway weather is a downer at the moment, proper windy, I must be really vain and not notice as I walked into the wind today and my son went 'Dad, your hair' I laughed out loud anyway.
Speaking of my son and he was in proper naughty mode today, I won't go into too much detail of his antics but he labelled me a bastard anyway which was comical but stern faced it all the way. I feel like dry lunch at the moment, two nights in a row now and no night life. Had offers both nights but I know I will spend excess amounts so I am having a quiet before the madness begins. It's going to be crazy anyway and I am looking forward to getting on it. I feel like one of those Japanese ninja's meditating and doing the kicks of of tree stumps before the fight haha. Hopefully I will be able to take many photo's of my night tomorrow but it's an over 25's so I expect that someone will take offence or I will be labelled imature. Sounds good to me haha !!

Vista Launch Kit
Received my Windows Vista Launch Kit this morning, got an email about it the other day so I was expecting to get a disc but what I received was a lot better. Under non disclosure agreement with this so can't really detail anything, just in case there is something not announced yet which I am sure there is. Looking forward to getting on it with Vista, I have it at work but I think I will wait until I move into my house in the new year before going through any upgrades. Especially as I am using the family PC at the moment and need to get one of my own before doing anything. It does look good though and I am told that the install process is very user friendly !!

It was too messy
Me and my friend had a crazy night and from the pictures the morals of do not do's in life are as follows; Do not drink and drive; Do not gamble; Do not accept stolen goods; Do not make 15ft straws in pubs as it makes you look slightly immature but who cares huh hahaha. Me and my friend were on form and we certainly lived up to the billing as it was off key from the start. Trying to get more people on it while our journey started didn't work too well at all, our friends were just like what are you two on. We were Pirates of the Caribbean, that's what we thought anyway. I made him a CD a while back with the theme tune and we christined his car the Black Pearl and headed around Dartford one way. We got some classic looks but people knew there were pirates about though haha.
So into the first bar we went and shots and Rose were the order of play, I tried to get us 16 glasses to drink from but they said the maximum I could have was four so we settled for that. Managed to get a biscuit to go with my shots but I traded this for a muffin as the biscuit didn't look too appealing. Then some friendly faces arrived and we got in the mix with them and then got to making a huge straw combining most of the straws in our vacinity haha.
After this we headed to another bar and then on to Air and Breathe, didn't last long in the bar as my friend put us down for karaoke so I had my engine running to leave and we soon headed for the club. We queued for a while and eventually after reaching the front the bouncers had decided I had, had too much to drink and told me to come back in 30 minutes. I left contacted a few people picked up two kebabs and headed off to meet my chariot which I am over using lately.
Today has been a lazy one, proper been on it with the Nintendo Wii with anyone who came into our zone. Tonight although I would love to be on it I am having a drink indoors and carrying on the Wii action awaiting NYE which I think will be a good one !!

Steady Build Up
Got my plans sorted for New Years Eve now and I am well feeling what's in store. I am going to a James Bond themed night based on Casino Royal. I think it sounds quality as the boys have to dress like Bond and the girls have to come as Bond Girls. The venue is also transforming the front into a casino and on entry we get $10,000 dollars to play Roulette, Black Jack and Craps. This is definitely the way and I have been on it trying to get as many people to come as possible.
Once sorted I moved on to Bluewater to try and find myself a Bow Tie and see if I can find the trousers that match my waist coat. No luck with the trousers and couldn't find a Bow Tie in any of the shops but mainly as I was doing the guy thing and not asking and chasing my son about as he was in naughty mode. Went to see a friend in one of the shops and he was on it but not as crazy as he can be. Seems funny saying to people that I won't be seeing them until next year but with only a few days left 2007 is well and truly almost upon us. Going out tonight with my friend and trying to create a theme for the night we have decided to just get messy...

Why is it called Boxing Day ?
Aaaah so I had another quiet night out last night, strolled in at about 3:30am and felt the urge to eat some pickles and gherkins. No idea why I had this urge I suppose when I have reached my drinking peak I get the lust for food that women get when they are pregnant. Shame I am not an expert cook as although I settled for the above I was really feeling Chili Con Carne. I let a few people know this as I left them voicemails telling them how much I wanted to get on it with the food. Cooking in the early hours would have been a lot of fun, especially in the state I was in.
Lets rewind a little though as there seemed to be a lot of activity going on. I didn't follow it too well but one question that arose was that being why am I writing this. The girl that asked was baffled by my commitment to typing out events that happen in my life. I honestly don't have the answer to why I type as it's not like this is my Dear Diary or that in typing messages lifts weight off my shoulders. It's not like I am depressed either, far from it as although I have said many times that 2007 will be my year I think this was my year. I have met so many new people who have become a big part of my life and I have had some quality nights and adventures with. So if anything I suppose writing this offers reflection, my memory isn't great but with this I can recall all that has happened since September and there has been a lot of goings on.
Onto the night itself and after the family dinner I was joined by a few friends and we headed for Lloyds. Now I don't know what kind of Christmas the bouncers had but they didn't seem in a very joyful of lenient mood as I was prevented entry for looking under age. It does defy belief especially as in not too many years time my daughter is going to be TEN. I won't be repeating that too many times because it makes me feel old but it was a hurdle that thankfully my brother came to the rescue on. He brought my passport with me and I was granted entry and it was to the bar and the jug and shot combination from Christmas Eve which does the trick for me.
After spending a few hours here the pub to club bus arrived and you know we use this to travel in style haha. Not being on the ball I didn't pitstop to go toilet beforehand so my whole journey was preminitions, hallucinations, contractions, emancipations and crucifictions. So a minor exaggeration there in my explanation, okay I will stop haha. Anyway on arrival to Dartford I literally flew off the bus and pitstopped before the night really began. It was a really comical night and there were faces from past, present and future.
People I would like to be in my future anyway, like the Cinderella story if you know what I am referring to. I got offkey at some point and greeting girls I knew with a kiss it for some reason dawned on me to greet guys the same way. I don't see anything in this other than a joke but you should have seen some of the boys jump ship so to speak. It was well funny anyway but not something I plan on taking part in regularly so if you are a guy and wanted to hit it off I am not going to be too obliging.
Was a really good night anyway and I succeeded in doing more laps around the club than I do over Bluewater so I think I should get some kind of mileage award haha. Had a good conversation about relationships but I won't go into that too much as it's a secret. I am going to end my year on a high anyway and that's what it's all about.

The show isn't over yet and still have a few days to get on it so there will be no singing yet. Trying to make this as long as possible for all those that can't be bothered to read so just to add some extra reading I am going to provide the definition of the term crazy. I have no idea why I have been christined this as I would rather be something flattering as 'Crazy Joe' I think is scary and makes it sound like I should have a public health warning that comes with something of a license agreement or rules of engagement. I am losing it and after a morning of Captain Jack in Pirates of the Caribbean I am now off to save the Black Pearl made of Sofas. Here's that definition ;
1. mentally deranged; demented; insane.
2. senseless; impractical; totally unsound: a crazy scheme.
3. Informal. intensely enthusiastic; passionately excited: crazy about baseball.
4. Informal. very enamored or infatuated (usually fol. by about): He was crazy about her.
5. Informal. intensely anxious or eager; impatient: I'm crazy to try those new skis.
6. Informal. unusual; bizarre; singular: She always wears a crazy hat.
7. Slang. wonderful; excellent; perfect: That's crazy, man, crazy.
8. likely to break or fall to pieces.
9. weak, infirm, or sickly.
10. having an unusual, unexpected, or random quality, behavior, result, pattern, etc.: a crazy reel that spins in either direction.
–noun
11. Slang. an unpredictable, nonconforming person; oddball: a house full of crazies who wear weird clothes and come in at all hours.
12. the crazies, Slang. a sense of extreme unease, nervousness, or panic; extreme jitters: The crew was starting to get the crazies from being cooped up belowdecks for so long.
—Idiom
13. like crazy,
a. Slang. with great enthusiasm or energy; to an extreme: We shopped like crazy and bought all our Christmas gifts in one afternoon.
b. with great speed or recklessness: He drives like crazy once he's out on the highway.

And the answer to why is it called Boxing Day is as follows haha ;
- It was the day when people would give a present or Christmas 'box' to those who have worked for them throughout the year. This is still done in Britain for postmen and paper-boys - though now the 'box' is usually given before Christmas, not after.
- In feudal times, Christmas was a reason for a gathering of extended families. All the serfs would gather their families in the manor of their lord, which made it easier for the lord of the estate to hand out annual stipends to the serfs. After all the Christmas parties on 26 December, the lord of the estate would give practical goods such as cloth, grains, and tools to the serfs who lived on his land. Each family would get a box full of such goods the day after Christmas. Under this explanation, there was nothing voluntary about this transaction; the lord of the manor was obliged to supply these goods. Because of the boxes being given out, the day was called Boxing Day.

Wii rocked
Yesterday seemed to be more a recovery day than anything, decided that I would just drink through the day and get on it with the Nintendo Wii. It's a quality console and it really got my family together and playing the game. Bowling is definitely the way as that is what we got into thw most. Everyone had a go and my daughter loved it. I got a few accessories just for the novelty aspect really but it was funny seeing us all work up a sweat boxing and playing the other games. Got some money for Christmas which is a result as going Venue the other night has seriously dented my funds. I don't mind though as I had a good night. Organising what I will be getting up to tonight and also New Years at the moment. Still undecided on New Years but tonight should be just the standard haha !!
