Central Perk London

The Friends sitcom provided many memorable moments over the years. The opening theme "I'll Be There for You" by The Rembrandts has become synonymous with the series and whenever I hear the track it always makes me smile. I suppose we all became attached to the cast and followed their progress over the years. I have since passed the baton onto my daughter who has also become a fan, watching the episodes in the evening.

When I heard that Central Perk, the café in Friends had opened in London for a fortnight to celebrate the hit sitcom’s 15th anniversary we had to attend. The morning wasn't the most productive but eventually we made our way to Carnaby Street. The queue was predictably large but worth it to relive where it all happened along with props from the show.

Props on display at the coffee shop include Rachel’s wedding dress from the first episode, Joey and Chandler's 'best bud' bracelets, the Gellar Cup, Brown Bird Cookies and a bar of 'Mokolate'.

I recommend attending soon if you share a similar affiliation with the sitcom. We really enjoyed Central Perk London and it was clearly popular, I took some photos from our afternoon which are available on Flickr.
